Public Involvement

Public and community involvement plays an important role in the health of forests.

We tailor our public involvement activities based on the local context because we know that sustainable forestry management can mean something different to each community and ecosystem. But regardless of where we are working with the public, our commitments to transparency, dialogue and solution-finding remain.

Our Approach

West Fraser collaborates with and gathers input from a wide range of stakeholders to develop comprehensive and sustainable forest management plans.

Forests are an important resource for us all, and there are many opportunities for members of the public and the communities near our operations to be involved and influence the forest management planning process. Learn more about opportunities for public involvement in Alberta and British Columbia by reading our materials for each forest area, or by contacting us.
