Pacific Inland Resources 2017 Forest Stewardship Plans
Pacific Inland Resources (PIR) is a sawmill facility in Smithers, British Columbia. We are beginning our public review process for two proposed Forest Stewardship Plans (FSPs). These FSPs will cover our operations in the Bulkley Timber Supply Area (TSA) and the Morice Timber Supply Area. An approved FSP guides the harvest of timber and construction of roads within a forest development unit (FDU).
Review and Comment Periods
Prior to submitting the new FSPs for approval, PIR is providing an opportunity for review and comment on the results and strategies outlined in the plans to address the following Objectives set by Government for:
- soils
- visual quality
- timber
- water
- fish

- biodiversity
- recreation resources
- cultural heritage resources

- other objectives established under the Forest and Range Practices Act that pertain to the area of the FSP
