Tree Farm License 35 – Proposed Management Plan #11

The Management Plan is a strategic planning document that outlines:

  • History of TFL35;
  • historic allowable annual cut;
  • documents and plans used for forest resource planning;
  • information used to support the timber supply analysis;
  • timber supply analysis; and
  • sustainable allowable annual cut.

The proposed Management Plan #11 does not specify operational aspects such as cut block size and location.  The primary focus of the draft plan and the timber supply analysis is to determine a sustainable allowable annual cut.

TFL35 Management Plan

A significant component of the Management Plan is a timber supply analysis for the TFL.  The first step in the timber supply analysis process is the preparation of an Information Package (IP) that documents the procedures, assumptions, data, and model to be used in the analysis.

The Management Plan is the primary document in the timber supply analysis. When approved by the Province’s Chief Forester, the Management Plan, along with other pertinent information and input, will be used in the Chief Forester’s determination of the allowable annual cut (AAC) from Tree Farm License (TFL) 35.
